Their founder Dhananjana Ameresekere (known as Dan) grew up in the city and as a child always enjoyed making things. This led to him spending time studying and working in America and working in Singapore to establish his name in the architectural industry. After amassing significant experience, he returned home to Colombo where he founded Design One Limited in October 2011. Dan is also a member of both the American and Sri Lanka Institutes of Architects as well as being a certified Green Mark Manager of the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore.
